The Lemont Police Department has recently partnered with SCAN USA, an internet-based public warning system for Police Departments, schools and other public safety agencies to provide emergency alerts to Lemont residents. The Safe Community Alert Network provides you and your neighbors with a tool for better safety, prevention, preparation and preparedness. The SCAN network broadcasts emergency information to computers, mobile phones, pagers and PDA's.
