The Village Board is gathering public input on a proposed smoking ban. Cook County's Clean Air Ordinance will take effect in Lemont on March 15, 2007.
The county ordinance restricts smoking in restaurants, bars & taverns, enclosed bar areas, tobacco stores, theatrical performances and bowling alleys. The Village of Lemont may either abide by Cook County's Ordinance, or craft its own.
