The Lemont Park District was formed in 1966 to provide recreational programs and facilities to the residents of the Lemont community. The Park District has grown from a concept to fifteen park site operations, including two recreation centers, one fifty meter swimming pool, and multiple playgrounds and athletic fields.
The library is located at 50 East Wend Street, which is one block north of 127th Street and two blocks west of State Street. The library has 22,000 square feet and was opened to the public on November 12, 1997.
In District 113A, educators, parents, students and community members share the responsibility to create a safe, supportive and enjoyable learning environment.
