Full Description:
The Lemont Hornets participates in the River Valley Youth Football League. Football is full contact and four levels of play exist, beginning at age 6 and continuing through 8th grade. Cheerleading begins with 1st grade and continues through 8th grade. This is a non-tryout league. Each level consists of a squad of 30 players and 25 s. Returning players/cheerleaders are given preference, and open spots are filled from established waiting lists. Returning player registration occurs in February-March timeframe, adds from the wait list occur in March-April. Practices begin in late July and the season last until the end of October, depending on how teams do in playoffs.
