"Twenty percent of the architecture on the World Heritage List today is constructed of earth"?

Should we completely move away from building in earth/ mud and take up cement instead. I don’t know how widespread the use of sustainable cement has become but can’t we explore more alternatives like building bigger and hig- accomodation buildings as an alternative to small huts?
Yes you do owe me a mail jay. Thanks y’all.

It really depends on the location. A lot of places don’t have access to limestone (the primary ingredient in cement) and it would be really expensive to ship it in. so you have to build with the materials you have around you.

cement can get expensive, but earth is free. It is not as durable though, so you have to rebuild periodicaly.

i say we should build down instead of building up, that way we take care of a few problems a) the building won’t fall down b) it’s easier to heat and cool c) it’s a whole lot easier to dig then stack
